On October 15 and 16, 2020, at the annual public procurement forum organized by Business Circle, contractors, bidders, and professional advisory groups met again to exchange experiences and opinions, for the first time with the possibility of remote participation.

Among the top-notch speakers was our partner and procurement expert, Ulrike Sehrschön. In her lecture entitled “Public procurement law facilitations in the context of the Corona crisis and what remains: National security of supply as an admissible award criterion?” she spoke about public procurement law in and after the COVID 19 crisis, the tension between the EU internal market / globalization and domestic supply, relevant ECJ case law (in particular C-324/93), possibilities and limits in the choice of suitability, selection, and award criteria, and the consideration of domestic production sites or operating facilities.
