Associate – Area: Competition Law
Daniel Metz is an associate in our Vienna office and member of our competition law practice group. He advises on all aspects of Austrian and European competition law, in particular on merger control and cartel investigations and proceedings. Further areas of his practice include competition law in the age of digitalization and competition law issues in the aviation industry.
Daniel holds a law degree from the University of Vienna (Mag iur). He also completed courses at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and the University of Tallinn. He was accepted into the High Potential Program of the University of Vienna and was awarded a merit scholarship. Before joining Eisenberger & Herzog, Daniel worked in the antitrust team of another prestigious commercial law firm and at the German Monopolies Commission in Bonn. Daniel is the founder of Aviation and Competition Law Research, a research network for competition law issues in the aviation industry.
