Coveris, one of the leading manufacturers of packaging, has successfully completed the acquisition of Hungarian Plasztik-Tranzit Kft, a specialist supplier of high-quality packaging for the food industry. Plasztik-Tranzit Kft will from now on operate under the name Coveris Pirtó. The parties to the contract have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

With this second acquisition in the last six months, Coveris continues to pursue its growth strategy of establishing a hub for high-tech packaging production in Eastern Europe, coupled with major investments in the food, medical, and film production divisions.

Eisenberger & Herzog facilitated the international transaction under the leadership of partner Clemens Lanschützer. “We are very pleased that we were able to successfully secure this transaction, which is strategically important for our client,” said Clemens Lanschützer. E&H has once again demonstrated its expertise and capability in advising Austrian clients on international deals from a central hub.
