A Beacon of Fruition in Turbulent Times- E&H Welcomes Two New Partners from its Own Ranks
With the promotion of MMag Dr. Christopher Engel and Dr. Laurenz Liedermann, M.Jur. (Oxford) to the circle of partners at Eisenberger & Herzog (E&H), the course of accomplishment and advancement will continue, even in the turbulent year 2020.
Effective 01 July 2020, MMag Dr. Christopher Engel (39) will be appointed partner of the practice groups Corporate Law and M&A, and Real Estate Law, at the Graz office. Since 2015 he has been an independent lawyer and substitute at E&H.
Christopher Engel advises clients primarily on corporate and real estate transactions, cooperative projects, and corporate law disputes. He has also increasingly been advising clients in the start-up sector.
Christopher Engel studied law at the University of Graz, and business law at the University of Innsbruck. Before joining E&H, Christopher Engel worked for four years at the Institute for Civil Law at the University of Graz and, during his time as an associate, worked for several years in the field of real estate and construction law. He is the author of various publications in the fields of civil and corporate law, and is a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Campus 02 in Graz.
Also effective 01 July 2020, Dr. Laurenz Liedermann, M.Jur. (Oxford) (35) is appointed partner of the Banking and Finance Law Practice Group. He joined E&H as an associate in 2013, was registered as a lawyer in 2017, and has been working for E&H as a substitute since then.
Laurenz Liedermann advises clients primarily on acquisition and real estate financing, Lombard loans, lease financing, and complex restructurings.
Laurenz Liedermann graduated from the University of Vienna in the top of his class. During his studies, he worked in a prestigious Viennese law firm. Following his diploma studies, he completed his doctorate with distinction at the University of Vienna on the subject of “The Gift”. He also completed postgraduate studies at Oxford University (Merton College) with a focus on contracts, corporate finance, and trusts. Before joining E&H, he worked for four years as a university assistant at the Institute for Civil Law at the University of Vienna.
